Sithonia Cruise

Exploring the stunning Sithonia peninsula on a day cruise is an unforgettable adventure. Departing from the bustling village of Nikiti in Halkidiki, this boat excursion offers a scenic tour of the area, allowing you to swim in its pristine waters surrounded by picturesque bays and landscapes. Our first stop is Neos Marmaras*, a delightful spot where you can enjoy a leisurely coffee or indulge in some shopping. Then, we’ll head to Kelifos Island, a secluded gem perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Here, you can plunge into the azure waters straight from the boat and savor a traditional Greek lunch. Shaped like a turtle and uninhabited, Kelifos Island promises a unique experience. Throughout the cruise, you’ll be serenaded by the soothing melodies of Greek music (bouzouki), often accompanied by the playful antics of seagulls and dolphins. Don’t forget to capture the beauty of each beach with your camera!

DETAILS

Neos Marmaras was established in 1922 by refugees from the island of “Marmaras” in Asia Minor. Prior to this, the area was part of the Grigoriou Monastery of Mount Athos. Today, the monastery buildings erected around 1905, as well as the church of the Assumption of the Virgin constructed in 1865, still stand to the east of the village. With rapid development, the residents of Parthenonas, an ancient village at the foot of Mount Itamos, merged with Neos Marmaras in 1970, forming the western part of the present-day village.
